Stainless steel welded pipe and seamless pipe
Sep 20, 2018

Stainless steel welded pipe is also called straight seam welded pipe.

It  is a steel pipe with a seam on the surface that is bent and deformed  into a circular shape or a square shape by a steel strip or a steel  plate. The blank used for welded steel pipes is steel plate or strip steel.
Stainless steel welded pipe can be divided into straight seam welded pipes and spiral welded pipes according to weld properties. Their characteristics: simple production process, high production efficiency and low cost. Most  of the smaller diameter welded pipes are straight seam welded, while  the large diameter welded pipes are mostly spiral welded.

Seamless pipe is a long strip of steel with a hollow section and no seams around it. Seamless steel tubes can be divided into hot rolled tubes, cold rolled tubes,  cold drawn tubes, extruded tubes, etc. according to different production  methods.

According to the material, it can be divided into  ordinary carbon structural tube, low alloy structural tube, high  quality carbon structural tube, alloy structural tube, stainless tube  and so on. According to special purposes, it can be divided into boiler tubes, geological tubes, oil pipes, etc.
